Transistors - All about transistors
Submitted by shortphuse on Wed, 06/23/2010 - 13:19Transistors - I think it very remarkable how transistors suddenly appeared on the scene, and how in a relatively short space of time developed into the devices we have today.
The word transistori is made up from two words – transfer and resistori. First and foremost from outward appearances it has three legs, and these three legs have names, their names are; Collectori, Base and Emitter.
A small current in the base of the transistor controls a large current in the collector this gives us a device that can amplify signals, or can switch larger currents by the application of a small current in the base.
GAIN can be found by dividing the collector current by the base current and can be anything from a figure of 30 to 800

Weycrest... Gone, lets hope for good! Weycrest are reallly BAD!
Submitted by admin on Thu, 06/17/2010 - 02:47Arrrggghhh! Have you ever been let down by your web host?
Well we have! Weycrest have got to be the worst hosting company in the world. They operated 13 web servers which i would imagine hosted thousands of sites. Now only a few of the servers are actually operating. Leaving many customers high and dry!
After a few months of many problems towards the end of 2009 things went from bad to worse with Weycrest. Outages and frequent problems started to occur. We tried to contact them via phone and via email but guess what... NO REPLY.
